Polishing is to use a small amount of polishing powder or polishing liquid to place on polishing cloth, later the sample is polished. Purpose of polishing is to remove the deformation and scratches during the grinding process, resulting in a scratched mirror surface for microscopic analysis of the microstructure.

The GP-2000A polishing machines are variable speed (0-1000 rpm) grinding and polishing machines for metallographic specimen preparation. The GP-2000A polishers are easy to use manual/automated polishing machines available with either single or double wheels. These bench top machines have been designed for 8-10inch and 10-inch polishing wheels.
